My stepdad bought a kayak last year and being a typical teenager it didn't even cross my mind to try it out. (Like I said, sometimes you don't even think to try certain things)
So yesterday I finally tried it, I got in, pushed myself out into the sea and do you know what? I had so much fun. Yeah, the thought of jaws coming up and biting the end of the kayak wasn't very appealing but it was so relaxing it's unreal.
I paddled out a bit and then just lay there. Hands in the water, waiting for something to pull me in.
No, in all seriousness I really recommend people try it, it's fun, gets your arm muscles going and it's relaxing at the same time. I'd also recommend not going somewhere too windy if you're trying it for the first time, because when you're rowing against the wind you feel like your arms are young to fall off.. Good news for jaws eh?
OH and one last thought! Do not take your phone with you to take pictures like I did because after I took the picture attached, I dropped it in the sea getting out of the kayak.. So yeah, be careful and cautious, even though most of you are probably thinking "what idiot takes there phone out to sea?" THIS IDIOT RIGHT HERE.
Go and explore.
